The delivery of two large twin molding lines of type ZFA-SD 6.5 by Heinrich Wagner Sinto Maschinenfabrik (HWS) to produce brake discs marks a significant step in the foundry industry. Here are the most important technical details and advantages of the plants:

For the customer, these are already molding lines no. 7 and 8, which are operated worldwide.
Technical features and advantages of HWS plants
Efficiency and Flexibility: Models can be changed almost in cycle time via the rotary table of the molding machine. If required, the cooling time can be extended by an additional cooling house with 3 extra lines, providing a total of 9 cooling lines. Cooling takes place entirely within the mold box, enhancing efficiency.
Efficient energy savings: The systems are distinguished by their high energy efficiency, utilizing the latest electric motors that meet current energy efficiency standards. All pushing movements are electrically driven to further reduce energy consumption.
The ease of Maintenance: A user-friendly maintenance concept has been developed, making all hard-to-reach maintenance points accessible via platforms and landings. Automatic lubrication systems are installed on the respective units to extend the service life of racks and pinions.
Monitoring and Software: The molding lines are equipped with the latest HWS technology, including the renowned A.L.S. (Plant Control System) as well as energy monitoring and cycle time analysis systems. All systems are programmed in-house at HWS.
Production Capacity and Commissioning: Both molding lines will be commissioned in 2025 and are designed for a total production of 210,000 tons of good castings.
